Tottenham yet to reach agreement with Middlesbrough for Djed Spence

Middlesbrough set Djed Spence at a price range of 15 million pounds.

LONDON - Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly yet to reach Middlesbrough's asking price for their player Djed Spence in this summer's transfer market. Quoted from Sky Sports , Saturday (06/25/2022), representatives from the two clubs had met in London to discuss the transfer of Spence, but in the end could not reach an agreement.

Tottenham and Middlesbrough are believed to have a difference over the price they value Spence after the two clubs enter the final stages of negotiations. Tottenham Hotspur boss Daniel Levy is reportedly personally leading the club's pursuit of England U21 right-back, leaving Fabio Paratici to concentrate on other targets.

Initial talks between Spurs and Boro failed to find a deal, with the north London club indicating Spence's value lies in the range of £10 million. On the other hand, Middlesbrough pegged their player at a price of at least 15 million pounds (around Rp. 273 billion), so the talks between the two parties did not continue.

Tottenham still have a desire to land Spence, but if no deal can be reached and there are no other options, then they will move on to other targets. Last season, Djed Spence appeared in 46 games for Nottingam Forest in various competitions and contributed three goals and five assists from 4,071 minutes played.

Spence started his career in the Fulham youth team in 2016 before moving to Middlesbrough U23s in 2018. After that, the England international was loaned out to Nottingham Forest at the start of last season and returned to The Boro in early June.
