Stuttgart bought out ownership of on-loan center forward Serhou Guirassy from Rennes..
2023-06-01 10:28Stuttgart announced on the official website on Wednesday that the club has bought out the ownership of Guinea international center forward Serhou Guirassy from Rennes.
According to Stuttgart's official statement, Guirassy has signed on a three-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2026.
After completing his joining procedures, Giurassy, who was interviewed by Stuttgart's official website again said: "I am very happy that all the parties can reach an agreement. Now I will fully focus on the two promotion/relegation playoffs. I will do my best to ensure that next season Stuttgart will stay and play in the Bundesliga."
The 27-year-old Guirassy was born in Arles, France on March 12, 1996. He is 1.87 meters tall. He primarily plays as a center forward, but he is also capable of playing a left winger. He has dual citizenships of France and Guinea.
Guirassy played for the Laval youth academy when he was a child, and completed his first-team debut in October 2013.
In July 2015, Guirassy moved to Lille for €1 million, but due to the lack of opportunities to play, Guirassy played for Auxerre on-loan at the end of January 2016.
In July of the following year, Guirassy joined Cologne for €3.8 million euros. Although he performed well, he was allowed to return to Ligue 1 to join Amiens in January 2019 on a loan with an obligation to buy basis.
After helping the club successfully avoid relegation, Amiens officially bought out the ownership of Guirassy for €6 million in July of the same year.
With good performances, Guirassy moved to Rennes for €15 million at the end of August 2020.
Last summer, Guirasy joined Stuttgart on a loan with an option to buy basis.
This season, Guirassy has made a total of 27 appearances for the Bundesliga side across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and assisting 1 time.
