Scholes believes Gareth Bale can bring Spurs to finish in the top four
2021-03-17 03:13 JAKARTA - Manchester United (MU) legend Paul Scholes said Gareth Baleb could bring Tottenham Hotspurfinis to the top four in the English Premier League this season. Bale has scored six goals in his last six matches in all competitions.
The Wales international initially struggled upon his return to Tottenham from Real Madrid on loan. Bale has now started the last three league games won by the Spurs.
"They look like a different team," Scholes told Premier League Productions as reported by Tribal-Football , Tuesday (9/3). "The threat they get in that front area is as good as anything in the league. Their back line may be the problem.
According to Scholes, Bale has shown quality throughout his career at Real Madrid even though in recent years he hasn't played many games.
"But he looks fit, he looks sharp, not only his goals but also the quality he brings, a great left foot, changing games every now and then. He's brilliant and he has a lot of confidence," explained Scholes. "I think if Tottenham are going to finish in the top four, Bale has to have a big role to play and he has to stay fit."
