Roy Keane believes Ronaldo will stay at Manchester United
2022-05-15 11:44JAKARTA -- Former Manchester United player, Roy Keane, believes Cristiano Ronaldo will stay with Satan Meran next season. Ronaldo again contributed when MU beat Brentford with a score of 3-0.
Keane explained the arrival of Ronaldo to Manchester United earlier this season was a short-term solution. "Manchester United has a bigger problem than Cristiano Ronaldo. I think with the goals he scored, his performances, guaranteed his position at the club," explained Keane.
"But Manchester United have to get other players to help him, they will bring in another striker, there has to be competition for the position," he said.
The Irishman is aware that there will be debate over Ronaldo's future at Manchester United, especially since the player is 37 years old at this time. "If the top scorer, the person you rely on, is 37 years old then of course that's not great but I would of course stick with Ronaldo," Keane said.
"But why do you get rid of a player who scores a lot of goals? I don't see the logic in it," he said.
Ronaldo's contribution was seen again after bringing Manchester United to win the match against Brentford with a score of 3-0 in the 35th week of the Premier League, Tuesday morning WIB. Cristiano Ronaldo is back with Manchester United this season after having previously enjoyed success with Real Madrid and Juventus in the 12 years since leaving Old Trafford in the summer of 2009.
This season, Ronaldo has become an important part of Manchester United by making 38 appearances and contributing 24 goals and 3 assists in all competitions.
