OFFICIAL: Sebastian Beccacece appointed Elche coach

On Tuesday, Sebastian Beccacece replaced Machin as Elche coach, who had just been dismissed due to poor record. His term will end in June next year.

Elche spoke highly of Beccacece's arrival. "Beccacece is one of the most promising coaches in Argentine and South American football. His methodology and style of play are very clear and his teams are therefore extremely competitive," they said in a statement.

"He made the leap into European football with a belief in doing what he did and helping Elche. Welcome, Beccacece!"

Sebastian Beccacece, 42, was originally Sampaoli's assistant coach. Until January 2016, Becases served as the coach of the first team for the first time, responsible for the coaching of Club Universidad de Chile. In the next 6 years, he worked in Defensa y Justicia, Independiente and Racing Club, and achieved 95 wins, 56 draws and 71 losses.

Elche, currently ranked at the bottom of La Liga, will be Beccacece's first stop in Europe. Their current results are 2 wins, 7 draws, 17 losses and 13 points, and they are still 14 points away from relegation.
