Mason expects Tottenham's reaction to Man Utd after Newcastle defeat

Interim Tottenham Hotspur manager Ryan Mason has asked his players to react against Manchester United on Thursday following their 6-1 loss to Newcastle United in their previous game.
Sunday's defeat at St James' Park, which saw Mason 's former interim manager Christian Stellini sacked, leaves Spurs in sixth in the table, six points behind fourth-placed Manchester United and fifth-placed Aspen. One point for Dunville.
" Definitely a reaction, " Mason told reporters on Wednesday when asked what he expected from Spurs. " Sunday was disappointing so I hope and look forward to a reaction from the players and everyone in this building. "
Mason says Tottenham are ready for United and a positive result could get the club back on track.
" They've had a great season and won a trophy, which is important for a big club. It's going to be difficult but we have every confidence in our ability to do well," Mason added .
" We have six games to try and small positive results, but I believe in this group and I believe in this football club.
" I've been in football long enough to know how things can change quickly and the results can change a lot. Hopefully we can transmit that on the pitch. "
