Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid Compete for the Next Neymar's Sign
2022-07-28 16:35LIVERPOOL -- When a talented player impresses in Brazil, it doesn't take long for him to spread to Europe. One of them is Palmeiras striker, Endrick. Liverpool is even rumored to be one of the clubs tracking the player's development in South America.
In addition, Barcelona are also included in the team monitoring him, and are alleged to have entered 'behind the scenes' talks to discuss a potential transfer. This was done by Barca when they recruited Neymar, tracked him down, and then became the leader in signing players.
Real Madrid are also said to be interested in Endrick. The reigning Spanish La Liga champions have been exploring the Brazilian market on an incentive basis recently.
After losing the chance to attract Neymar, Madrid are not ready to lose again in a similar competition. Madrid have also acquired Rodrygo from Santos and Vinicius Junior from Flamengo.
Both moves paid off well and there was another example too, when Julian Alvarez was bought by Manchester City from River Plate, having previously signed Gabriel Jesus from the same club as Endrick. Quoted from Liverpool.com , Sunday (7/24/2022), Endrick is 16 years old and already qualified to sign his first professional contract in Brazil.
Endrick has scored 170 goals in 172 games at youth level so far, and is expected to bring the same form to the senior side. That's why Endrick earned the nickname the Next Neymar, a Brazilian star who has shone at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Endrick has a release clause of 60 million euros in his contract that runs until 2025. Although it is almost impossible to stay in South America that long.
While Liverpool usually avoid spending big bucks on mostly 'unknown' players. Harvey Elliot, Favio Carvallo, and several other players have been brought in for a very cheap fee. Meanwhile, Endrick will probably be cheaper than his release clause.
