Atletico Madrid President: Felix will return to the team this summer after the loan expires

Mauricio Pochettino finally pushed Chelsea to drop the permanent signing of 23-year-old João Felix . Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says the Portuguese will return this summer after his loan expires.

"I can't tell you anything about João's plans. We just received word yesterday that the new Chelsea manager has no interest in him," Cerezo revealed during a panel at Madrid's Complutense University.

"He will return from his loan in a few weeks, so we will see. However, João is still an Atletico player."

Felix serves as the second striker, and the current ownership still belongs to Atletico Madrid . He played for Chelsea on loan in January this year and has played a total of 40 times, but only scored 9 goals and 3 assists.

Chelsea failed to add a buyout clause to the contract when they rented Felix at the beginning of the year. Whether the player can stay at Stamford Bridge in the coming season largely depends on Pochettino's attitude. However, the "Times" learned that Pochettino is more concerned about young British players. He believes that cultivating local talents will help build club culture.

On the other hand, Atletico Madrid is open to trading Felix, and the conflict between Gein players and coach Simeone is difficult to reconcile. Their current price tag for Felix is around 68 million pounds, and the loan fee is about 16 million pounds.
