Arsenal and City are said to have agreed on the move of Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal and Manchester City have agreed a transfer fee of £45 million.

LONDON - The move of Manchester City striker, Gabriel Jesus, to Arsenal seems to be a matter of time. The Gunners are reported to have reached an agreement with The Citizens regarding the opportunity to recruit the Brazilian striker in this summer's transfer window.

Based on reports from The Athletic , Arsenal and Manchester City have agreed a transfer fee of £45 million for the 25-year-old striker. The two clubs just have to finalize a number of elements in Jesus' transfer contract.

''Some elements in the agreement still need to be finalized. However, Jesus is already on track to become Arsenal's fourth signing of the transfer window this summer, after Marquinhos , Matt Turner and Fabio Vieira.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's departure to Barcelona in the middle of this season, coupled with the decision to let Alexandre Lacazette go to Lyon earlier this month, means that the Gunners need additional ammunition in attack. Jesus became the main target of the Gunners in the transfer market this summer.

The player who started moving to City in 2016 will be Eddie Nketiah's tandem on the front lines of the Gunners. Nketiah, who had reportedly opened up the opportunity to leave Arsenal, is certain to stay after signing a new contract with the Gunners, some time ago.

If he officially joins the Gunners, Jesus will again work with Mikel Arteta. Previously, Arteta had been assistant coach to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City from 2016 to 2019.

On the other hand, Jesus' contract with The Citizens actually has one year remaining. However, the presence of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez is predicted to reduce Jesus' playing time next season.

As a result, the player who scored 95 goals and 46 assists from 236 appearances with The Citizens chose to leave The Citizens. Arsenal are not the only club interested in signing Jesus. Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were said to be interested in bringing the former Palmeiras winger.
